WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY IN CHRIST

Core Values of the Takoma Park SDA Church

When God gave us His son (John 3:16) He gave us the most excellent gift available.  Therefore it is the settled determination of our Church to giving Glory to God through excellence in everything it does.

Bible Knowledge

We believe that the Old and New Testaments constitute the inspired Word of God (1Tim 3:16).  We accept the truths taught in the Bible as the final authority even above Church tradition.  We endeavor to preach and teach them in relevant ways.

Community

We believe in community and addressing the needs of others as did the believers in the New Testament Church (Acts 2:40-47) in attracting them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Encouragement

We believe that there is a lot of despair in our community and our Church is committed to dispensing hope and encouragement to all.

Prayer

We believe in prayer, corporate and private as the foundation on which character, and the conception, planning and execution of ministry is built.

Evangelism

We believe in evangelism; personal and public as a necessary activity of the church (Matt 28:16-20).  Seeing others embrace Christ as their personal savior is one of the highest joys we experience.

Worship

We believe in the Lordship of God and are committed to giving Him recognition for His great love for us in all our expressions of praise.
