Cartwright, Social Committee Leaders The Takoma Park SDA Church 2009 Family Life/Social Committee Ministries is pleased to embark upon the new year with a number of planned events throughout the year that we hope will serve as a catalyst to not only bring Takoma Park members closer to each other but even closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Whether it's a vesper service, Celebration of Love Banquet, Old-Fashioned Church Social, Health and Finance Seminars, Singles and Couples Retreats or a Christmas Celebration, it is our desire to facilitate an environment that allows the Takoma Park family to pray and worship together and to play/interact with one another in a way that not only gives God the glory but makes us closer as a church family. The old adage that a "Family that prays together stays together" is certainly true. But our ministry would also like to add that a family that PLAYS together also stays together as well. So with this commitment we seek your support and participation as we plan, with God's help, to accomplish great and marvelous things this year at Takoma Park where we "Seek to Know Christ and make Him known to Others."
