Music
Hi, my name is Olga. I am the director of the Sanctuary choir at the Takoma Park SDA Church. Chorale singing is a part of the culture that I grow up with in Ukraine. However, music was also a big part of my family. From the earliest days of my life singing and, later, playing at the church became a very joyful experience for me. I remember the time when I had to take over the choir that my mother had directed. I look back at that now, taking over a church choir when I was 15. It was a wonderful experience. Praising the name of the Lord through singing and playing is the experience that refreshes not merely my mind but also my soul. This lead me to study music. I graduated with a degree in violin performance and pedagogy from the Dmiprodzerzinsk College of Music in Ukraine. Later, I came to the United States where I finished a degree in Music Education with Voice Emphasis from the Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Massachusetts. I enjoy doing solos here at the Takoma Park Church, my real passion is singing with the people in our Church choir. Won’t you come and join us?
