I have the privilege of working with a wonderful group of people that love to study the Bible! Every Saturday morning at 9:20am, we gather together for First Light, a special program that invites Bible study and Bible inquiry.
We have several classes, each slightly different, located throughout the Takoma Park Seventh-day Adventist Church. I hope you will come. There is bound to be a class you will think was tailored made for you. In addition to a lively study hour, I think another thing that will intrigue you about First Light will be the class service projects. Each class has a project that helps our community in some way. These engaging projects run the gamut, and there is one that will surely interest you. Between the Bible study and working together to help others, you may notice that you will have developed close friendships with the people in your class. In fact, if this were "Oprah" or "Dr. Phil," I would probably use the word, "bond." But what I am talking about is what I've seen first hand; true and caring friendships. I want to offer you a hearty invitation to visit First Light. Once you spend some time with us, I am sure you will agree that visiting First Light is one of the best decisions you made this year!
